然而, 「腔」的害處在於, 你以為會了那個腔就是會了藝術, 而「腔」又是最好模仿的。比如說張愛玲, 我們說受到張愛玲影響的人寫的是「張愛玲腔」, 而非張愛玲...當然, 很多人都會問「你受誰的影響最大」, 但我以為這好像問在餐館裡吃了豬牛羊肉的人, 你身上的哪個部份是羊肉變的, 這是不可能回答的。因為你吃進去的東西都經過消化了, 那不是影響、而是變成自己的。

年復一年, 創作的衝動隨年衰減, 創作的能力逐漸消失—也許兩者根本上是一回事, 我們常把自己的寫作衝動誤認為自己的寫作才能, 自以為要寫就意味著會寫。
